« I always thought that the champagne had to be in the wine that the fashion design is fashionable. » Alfred Gratien, founder of champagne house Gratien.

Note from the wine maker: “Created solely with Pinot Noir, this rosé is a blend of 90% of white wine and 10% of red wine. This blend is made with selected grapes from three vineyards: Les Maupas, Les Clos and Les Champs Chevaliers. Aged for three years.”

Note from Stanislas Buffet: “This vine farm located at Vrigny (Montagne de Reims) has started its conversion to organic culture on 2010. End of 2014, the first organic cuvée was marketed. Dominique Lelarge has chosen to use composts, natural preparations, decoctions and herbal teas, in order to strengthen the vine immunity in the respect of animal life and flora balance. This farm is now AB certified (for Agriculture biologique) an organic label.”

Note from the wine maker: “Refined and fruity thanks to its notes of cherry, strawberry and toasted bread. A pale pink robe, enveloped in an aromatic persistence.

Note from Stanislas Buffet: “The robe, champagne limpid and bright. Orange-coloured pink. Intense foam with very thin bubbles. On the nose, intense red fruits aromas (raspberry, cherry) or yellow fruits aromas (quince) with empyreumatic notes (bun) or milky notes (butter). On the mouth, concentrated and voluble foam with very pleasant creamy contact. The first taste is fresh and elegant with an acidity which round fruit aromas. Nice balance between freshness and unctuousness. Aromatic palette expresses well-ingrained fruity notes (cherry, strawberry, currant). Discreet empyreumatic notes on finish (warm bun). Finish is explosive and nervous with excellent length (5 to 6 sec). A charming champagne.”

    Champagne and food matching

A fine match for white or pink meat, this wine is also ideal with a red fruit desert.
