    Note from Stanislas Buffet: “The robe: Intense amber yellow colour. Medium sparkling despite the advanced age of this cuvée. Pleasant and thin bubbles.

    The nose: Amazing aromatic range. Intense, wealthy, complex with stewed fruits notes like yellow fruits (peach, apple, apricot), white fruits (pear), citrus (orange), exotic fruits (pineapple), floral (honey) or empyreumatic notes (caramel), oxydation aromas (nut), fruits in brandy (morello) with slight minerality (iodine).

    The mouth: Light foam with thin bubbles. First taste is round, mellow and unctuous with good acidity despite the years which provides freshness to the whole.

    The palate is an aromatic explosion with well pronounced oxidative notes (nut), bitterness (bitter orange), floral notes (honey), empyreumatic (caramel), candied fruits (orange, peach, quince), spicy notes (nutmeg) and very intense salty aromas.

    Aromatic range on finish includes dried fruits notes (nut, almond), intenses empyreumatic notes (chocolate, mocha, bun, biscuit, toast), candied fruits (quince) and spicy notes (curry).

    Finish is wealthy, broad and thick. Persistence of flavour is incredibly long (10 to 12 sec) due to an acidic streak still present.
